The Piceno is among the richest italian provinces in historical re-evocations of medieval origin; the most important is the Quintana (1st Sunday of August and 2nd Saturday of july -night edition) a spectacular parade in medieval costume followed by the jousting tournament where the Sestieri are represented by the knights. In Fermo takes place the Palio dell’Assunta (15th august) an elegant parade in XV century costume followed by the jousting tournament. In S. Elpidio a Mare, the 2nd Sunday of august local people play in costume with the Contesa del Secchio, while in Servigliano take place the chivalrous tournament of Castel Clementino.

In Castignano Templaria recalls the knights of the Templari Order; in Monterubbiano, in the day of Pentecost Sciò la Pica remarkable re-evocation involving a woodpecker, while in Acquaviva Picena, in the 1st week of august take place the Palio del Duca.

In Arquata del Tronto, between the Sibillini and the Laga National Parks, local people organise three evocative events: The Battle of Lepanto in the village of Spelonga (every 3 years), Alla Corte della Regina Giovanna in the fortress of Arquata, while in Pretare in the middle august recur the Discesa delle Fate dai Monti Sibillini (descent of fairies from the Sibillini mountains).
